Fiona Munro has designed a favourite in which easy-to-knit mosaic knitting details and subtle textures ease up the classic stripes. Whether indoors or outside, Contact is your stylish companion for the whole day.

You start knitting Contact at the right corner, shaping it by working increases along the top edge and decreases along the shorter edge. The high-contrast stripes are mellowed by simple textures formed by knit and purl stitches. For the mosaic motif within the stripes, you keep the colour of the previous row by simply slipping stitches. Thus, you work with only one strand of yarn per row and nevertheless achieve an interesting two-coloured effect.
